Apply to Green Valley Academy
BSc (Hons) Public Health with Foundation Year, taught at our Luton campus in partnership with the University of Wolverhampton.
Is this course right for you?
The Foundation Year is part of the degree, not a separate qualification. It prepares you for university-level study and then takes you straight into Year 1 of the BSc (Hons) Public Health.
Returning to education
Maybe you left school, college or university early, or have been working for some years. The Foundation Year gives you the study skills and confidence to succeed.
Changing career
Public health opens doors in the NHS, local government, charities and community organisations. Your life and work experience count, and we will talk them through with you.
Studying close to home
Classes are taught at our Luton campus and timetabled so you can fit your studies around work and family.
Before you apply
Entry requirements are agreed with the University of Wolverhampton for each intake. As a minimum, you must have:
- GCSE English at grade 4 or above (previously grade C), or an accepted equivalent such as Functional Skills Level 2 English. GCSE Short Courses are not accepted.
- Be aged 18 or over when the course starts.
- Be able to study effectively in English.
- Attend the Preparation for Foundation (PFF) Assessment Day, which every applicant must attend. You take part in short activities that show us whether the course is right for you.
If your qualifications or experience are not on this list, apply anyway and tell us about them. Our admissions team will let you know whether they can be recognised.
Apply online
The application form opens in a new window and takes a few minutes to fill in. You do not need to upload any documents yet.

Were you recommended to us?
If a current student or a member of staff recommended Green Valley Academy to you, have their name, phone number and email ready so we can record it.
Need support?
The form asks whether you have a learning need, difficulty or disability, so that we can plan your support from day one. Telling us will not affect how we assess your application.

What happens next
Every admissions decision is made against criteria approved by the Academic Board and the University of Wolverhampton, and the reason for each decision is recorded.
We call you
A member of our admissions team contacts you, usually within one working day, to talk through your application and answer your questions.
We check your documents
We tell you exactly which certificates and identity documents we need, and check them against the published entry requirements.

We book you onto a Preparation for Foundation Assessment Day at the Luton campus.
Offer and enrolment
We send you a written offer that sets out the fees and key terms in full. You accept it by agreeing to the student terms and conditions, and we then send you your induction details.
