Life at The Atrium, Luton
Green Valley Academy is a town centre campus in Luton, a short walk from the railway station. Come in for teaching, study in the library, meet your course mates and get the support you need, all under one roof.
One Campus, Built for Learning
All teaching for the BSc (Hons) Public Health with Foundation Year takes place at The Atrium, Burrs Place, Luton LU1 3BE. The campus brings together classrooms designed for interactive and digitally supported teaching, a library and study spaces, IT provision, a cafeteria and social space.
Green Valley Academy is a non-residential campus. Students travel in for their timetabled sessions and use the campus for independent study, support and time with their course mates.

A Community You Help Build
Green Valley Academy is at the beginning of its journey, which means you have the chance to shape the clubs, societies and traditions that future students will enjoy. Students and staff have different responsibilities, but we are one academic community.
GVA Student Union
Created by students, shaped by students. Vote in elections, stand as a representative and help make sure student views are heard.
Explore GVA SU →Clubs and Societies
Have an idea for a reading club, a debate society or a public health awareness campaign? GVA SU and Student Support can help you get it started.
Start Something New →Wellbeing and Support
Your Personal Academic Tutor is your first point of contact, with the Mental Health and Wellbeing Team and trained Mental Health First Aiders on site.
Find Support →Your Voice Counts
Feedback from students is discussed at Student and Staff Liaison meetings and reported to the Academy's committees, and you should hear what changed as a result.
Have Your Say →Whole-Campus Care
Looking after our campus is shared by everyone who uses it, rather than left entirely to a maintenance team. It is one of the ways we keep The Atrium a safe, clean and professional place to learn.
You use it. You respect it. You leave it ready for the next person. You report a problem when you see it.
- Keep spaces orderly: return furniture and equipment and dispose of waste properly.
- Respect quiet areas: keep quiet zones quiet and do not reserve a space you are not using.
- Report, do not repair: tell Reception about any damage, spillage or hazard. Repairs are carried out only by authorised staff and contractors.
